Description

Josette is passionate about participating in NGO activities, particularly those involving visits to the elderly and disabled. She has been involved in various social service initiatives, including tutoring for the United We Stand Campaign and volunteering for Impact Hong Kong, a charity providing essential supplies and food to those in need. She also participates in the Mid-Autumn Festival, a significant event in Chinese culture, visiting elderly and disabled individuals living alone to prevent feelings of isolation. These experiences have fostered her empathy and social responsibility, inspiring her to advocate for community care. She has learned to navigate challenges such as language barriers, using patience, simple language, and visual cues to communicate effectively. Josette believes in the importance of providing practical assistance to underprivileged elderly or disabled groups, such as monthly house cleaning services, to show them they are not forgotten.
